Faculty Advisors

Below is a sampling of past Faculty Advisors who have led delegations of the International Scholar Laureate Program (ISLP) and their impressions of the program and scholars who attend. ISLP Faculty Advisors are professionals in their respective fields. Their dedication to their scholars often extends past the end of the program and can become an enduring mentorship as scholars launch their careers or begin graduate studies.

    Booz Allen Hamilton, Aerospace Systems Engineer

    Jose Moreira is an aerospace systems engineer for Booz Allen Hamilton. He works out of the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX to support various human spaceflight missions. He has worked on the International Space Station Program and a Japanese spacecraft mission, the Kounotori mission. He is currently working on the Orion program to help develop America's next spacecraft for missions to the Moon and exploration of deep space. Jose is a former president of the Engineers Without Borders Houston Professionals Chapter and remains actively involved to provide aid to communities in the developing world. He has a passion for languages and is currently learning Japanese and Afrikaans.
