Cogles-The Great Wall

Its Friday May 28,2010 and we're going to The Wall!!!!

The grate wall of China is incredible. It is just like "el morro" in Puerto Rico but way thicker, longer and higher. Its exactly what most of us thought it would be, but I was just amazed at the greatness of it considering the fact that it was built in a time were there was no technology available to them. Climbing the wall was a challenge, I didn't expect it to be so crowded. Every time we would stop and take pictures there would be a Chinese trying to take a picture wit us or of us. The most amazing thing was this group of Chinese kids that wanted to take a picture with us so bad that when we did they were going crazy.

The bus rides to and from the places are now amazing every ride we find out something new about each other.

After the wall we had free time with an option to go to a Kung Fu show (which is a mix between martial arts. ballet, acrobatics and visual effects) yet a bunch of us decided we wanted to go shopping and the guys wanted to play soccer. So we took the subway to the soccer field next to the shopping mall. I was surprised to see a security check right when you come into the station and also that we made it there and back.

After a long day we still had some energy to hang out so we went to Lotus Street just by the river. Its quite interesting cause there's a million bars, restaurants and pubs, street vendors selling anything and everything, and lots and lots of bright shinny lights, lanterns and laser.

I'll get to you guys later,
Ellie

PS: Having trouble with the pictures i'll upload them later
