We sponsor a very competitive scholarship program for nominees who are members of the Golden Key International Honour Society. Awards are primarily based on financial need, but scholastic merit, leadership achievements and other factors are also taken into consideration. Due to the extraordinarily competitive nature of the scholarship program, ISLP is unable to grant many scholarship requests. The scholarship application for Golden Key members is now available online at www.scholarlaureate.org/scholarships.
If you plan to attend ISLP regardless of whether or not you receive an award, you are encouraged to submit your enrollment materials and tuition payment prior to the enrollment deadline. Scholars who have already paid for the conference and receive a scholarship will be reimbursed the scholarship award amount.
Another option that we have for our students is a fundraising guide, which outlines ways to raise money in your community. We very strongly recommend looking at this guide, as there are a large number of community organizations and businesses which have displayed a great willingness to assist students with their tuition costs for this program. Many past participants have used this guide to gain valuable insight on how to raise the necessary funds to attend ISLP. To view the fundraising guide, please visit www.scholarlaureate.org/fundraising.

The International Scholar Laureate Program is not accredited. It is up to the discretion of your college or university whether or not to grant you credit based on your participation in ISLP. We encourage scholars to work with their educational institution to develop a credit plan for this international experience. While we do not offer a formal credit program, previous ISLP scholars have succeeded in receiving credit from their home institutions. Please note that the final determination as to whether or not credit may be awarded is made by your home university.
While at the International Scholar Laureate Program, you will have the opportunity to hear from leading professionals in your area of study—business leaders, diplomats, engineers, doctors or nurses. Additionally, you will have discussions with host nation university students and professors. All speaking events have the goal of fostering in each participant a new sense of possibility and a renewed drive to succeed.
If you would like to see more detail about the schedule, please view the sample schedules available on the delegation information pages under the ‘Our Programs’ menu at the top of the page.

I was accepted into the business delegation and am planning on attending the USA ISLP. I was wondering if we find out ahead of time who else is going with us. Or if anyone else from my university was nominated?
We do not list scholars by school, so we are unable to identify how many students from your university was nominated. We would, however, be happy to provide you with a list of alumni representatives from your area. If you would like to contact these alumni representatives, please contact our Office of Admissions at 800-778-0164.
Once scholars are enrolled, we can help to connect them with other local scholars who will also be attending, for the purposes of making travel arrangements, or just getting to know some fellow scholars in advance of the program.
Congratulations on your nomination to ISLP, Gabriella! It is a highly selective program and you must feel very proud of yourself.

I was nominated for the international scholar laureate program. I was given a choice of going to either Washington D.C. , Australia or China. Kindly let me know where i can find the scholarship application for this program from so that i have an opportunity to apply for the scholarship. I just received my packet today.
Thank you for your inquiry. Congratulations on your nomination to attend the International Scholar Laureate Program (ISLP)!
We understand your concern about the tuition cost. The tuition includes accommodations, an average of two meals per day, tips and taxes, group insurance and transportation during the Program. We have a couple of options available to help you offset the tuition cost.
First, we have a fundraising guide available, which outlines ways to raise money in your community. We very strongly recommend looking at this guide, as there are a large number of community organizations and businesses which have displayed a great willingness to assist students with their tuition costs for this program. Many past participants have used this guide to gain valuable insight on how to raise the necessary funds to attend ISLP. You can view the fundraising guide by going to www.scholarlaureate.org/fundraising.
Second, as a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society, you are eligible to apply for our scholarship program. The scholarship program is highly competitive and there are a limited number of awards available. Awards are primarily based on financial need, but scholastic merit, leadership achievements and other factors are also taken into consideration. Although we award a limited number of scholarships each year, we encourage everyone who is interested to apply and we do review all applications received. The scholarship application will be posted on our website at the end of November, and you can access it here: www.scholarlaureate.org/scholarships.
Please contact us at our Office of Admissions, weekdays, from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. EST, at (800) 778-0164 (within the United States) or +1.703.584.9532 (outside the United States) with any further questions or concerns.

I strongly agree with you adrian! I am very interested in going as this is a remarkable opportunity for me to further my engineering degree but I can barely afford the tuition at university so this is very much beyond reach for me. I second a subsidising of the the amount so everyone can have an opportunity
Hey there people, I'd like to basically query the payment fee. As I see it varies depending where you go, but +$3000 for a student (especially in South Africa) is pretttttyyyy hefty. That's what about +-R25000 (excluding meals), so what I want to ask from you guys is I've read that we can raise the funds ourselves and I will go find out at my local GK branch, but can this amount be subsidised? As repeating it again that amount is really quite alot especially for only less than 2 weeks, but I definitely see it as a worthwhile opportunity.
The scholarship applications said they will be up in November, yet the website is telling us to pay when we sign up. Are we supposed to pay the entire amount and if we get scholarships, they will be just to reimburse us once they come in?
What happened to the Delegation on Music in Europe? I attended this program in 2008, but I can't find any reference to it on the website. Has it been discontinued?

Just curious as well. Can someone provide estimated cost of each program to each country from Charleston, SC?
Do you provide the transportation to the country or do we?
What other hidden costs for which one should budget?
When and how are the payments collected?

Not including the airfare to the program, which is separate, how much does tuition actually cost for the program?
I am very interested in accepting this selection! What are the exact dates of the Summer Program 2010 please for Australia and China? Thank you!
Who are the speakers and individuals we will be meeting/working with? How much of our time will be spent with these individuals?
Where would I stay and how long? What would the cost be to me?

I could not find, on this site, how much this actually costs. How much would the ISLP program in Australia or China be (for medicine)?
